I completely revamped the art section of kimberley-jackson.com. Although I liked the old layout, it was very buggy which resulted in very long loading times – and sometimes the site would stop functioning properly. So I chose a new layout which is a lot more fitting for the kind of art I produce. It looks innocent and happy – and a bit cheesy. Just like most of my drawings are. ;) You can check it out by clicking on “Comic & Art” up in the menu bar! Enjoy the art, and thanks for visiting the...Read More

This image, I created as a Christmas gift for my dear younger sister Abby. She wished for a picture of the two of us in Anime style after seeing my Stargate SG-1 artwork, so I painted one for her and had it printed on a 40×40 (cm) canvas for her to hang up in her apartment. The basic outline I did by hand, and then the inking as well as the coloring I did by using Manga Studio and Photoshop. The coloring was mostly done using the airbrush technique. This piece was finished on December 9, 2013 – and...Read More
This is my Christmas / Holiday Greeting Card, inspired by the television show Stargate SG-1. It depicts the characters Jack O’Neill and Sam Carter in a tender holiday kiss, and was originally created as part of the Advent Calendar on the Gateworld forums. However, it turned out so beautiful, that I redesigned it to make a beautiful greeting card collection, available in two different versions: One saying “Happy Holidays” and the other one saying “Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year”. It was solely painted digitally, using Manga Studio 4 Debut for sketches, outlines and inking, and Manga Studio...Read More
A while ago, somebody encouraged me to practice writing more autobiographically to improve the depth of my writing in general. This is what came out of it, but at the time I filed it away. Today I found it again in my writings folder, and I liked it enough to be comfortable publishing it. So enjoy.Read More
Back when I had drawn “Closet Interludes”, it was so popular over on Gateworld that I promised everybody to draw another ‘fun comic’. I actually did. I outlined and planned another little 3-page sketch starring Sam Carter and Jack O’Neill from “Stargate SG-1”, however, before I could complete the third page, I received a medical diagnosis which forced me to go on a long hiatus. So I never actually finished page 3. However, when I rediscovered “Closet Interludes – Thor Edition” a few days ago, I realized that the first two pages make for a pretty nice story by itself...Read More
This is another little Fun Comic I created for the television science fiction show “Stargate SG-1”. It’s the first one that actually has a bit of a story to it, and is mainly meant as humor. I used it as a means to switch from hand-drawn to digitally drawn actually – if you look closely, you can kinda see my learning curve from page 1 to page 3, when I discovered how to use the program. Credits do of course go to the wonderful actors of Stargate SG-1 (Richard Dean Anderson, Amanda Tapping, Michael Shanks, Christopher Judge and Teryl...Read More
There shouldn’t be any discussion about the fact that the Walt Disney company has the reputation to produce only the highest-quality animation and entertainment programs. And even though in recent years the quality seemed to have declined a bit when it came to afternoon cartoon shows, Disney was still at the top when it came to the marketing of their movies and products. But what now if an amateur, a fan does a better job at making a musicvideo for their flagship “The Little Mermaid”. And not just better… but rocks it all the way. Traci Hines has managed to the the nearly impossible. In her freetime, she and three friends managed to create a musicvideo for “Part of Your World” that has no equal – not even among Disney’s own creations. While one might disagree with the (rather fast, and sometimes full of beats) musical arrangement, the visual effects are simply stunning, and Hines does an excellent job at portraying the little mermaid. Have a look… And for comparison, here is the official Disney music video for the song – which was released in August 2013 in celebration of the Blu-Ray release of The Little Mermaid. I can’t believe the difference… maybe Disney should consider putting Hines under contract. She certainly manages to convey the old Disney magic that the new Disney productions and merchandise...Read More
Stargate SG-1 Sam/Jack Fanfiction.
It was moments like this, where the thought occurred to her: What if I allowed him to come first in my heart? What if I agreed to stay? What if we both compromised and started building a life together? The idea was as frightening as it was alluring, but the moment she felt his body become one with hers, saw his dark eyes melt with hers, while both of them allowed their innermost feelings to surge out into the openness of the room, she wanted to succumb to it. Just for the fraction of a second. Just for an eternity.
Universes are created by thoughts. In the beginning there is always the thought; that first tiny spark of life that is necessary to eventually give birth to a notion in the form of the word.Read More
I want to believe that there is no difference between us. I want to believe that our spirits do not end with death. I want to believe that the essence of us will travel on into the next life. I want to believe that it doesn’t matter what name you call your God. I want to believe that all religions are equal, and everybody’s spirit will be saved as long as they live by the principles of love and enlightenment. I want to believe that hatred and anger are only misguided attempts at finding happiness. I want to believe...Read More
Stargate SG-1 Sam/Jack Fanfiction.
How did she end up in this awful situation? How did this good idea turn into a disaster that made her feel nauseous to the bone?
Sam Carter was feeling horrible. Horrible and nervous, and her fingers were clutching the napkin from the table in order to relieve the nervousness somewhere. She needed that, in order to keep that calm look and the smiling expression on her face. It was a mask, but this was the official armed forces Independence Day party, and she was one of the chosen representatives. This was a job. She had to consider it as one. If it just hadn’t become so hard; and it was all the fault of this damned McKay guy…
