I am so excited to announce that two of my stories were nominated in the 2016 Sam and Jack Multimedia Awards! Thank you everybody!
I know that a lot of my readers aren’t active on either Gateworld, Tumblr or Twitter. Therefore, I want to take a moment to tell you guys what the awards are about. The 2016 Sam and Jack Multimedia Awards are fan awards created by a group of dedicated fans. Everybody can go over to their website and register to be eligible to vote before October 28, 2016. Voting will begin in November, and then everybody can vote for their favorite story.
You can register on their website now.
And now to the core of the announcement. Here are all the nominations in the 2016 Sam and Jack Multimedia Awards that I received:

Thanks to everybody who remembered my stories when it came to nominations! I don’t know who you are, but I’m sure you know.
I know it’s been rather quiet on this website for a while. That’s because I am still working frantically to complete “The Slave’s Secret”. And it’s getting there finally. Only 2 more chapters until the story is finally finished and can enter the post-writing phase.

But I have une question. I nominate Stargate Aschen in four categories, and also you as the best author. But you didn’t accept the nomination? Have I made a mistake? Maybe I can only nominate one thing?

As for your question, I’m not sure I understand it. The nomination period ended already in the middle of October, so you can’t nominate anything anymore. Or did you mean you already nominated it?
I accepted all nominations for the Sam and Jack Awards. Or do you mean different awards? I have not received any notifications for other awards. Does that answer your question?

thank you for your answer. I apologize for the misunderstanding. I meant that I have nominated your story and you in the author category in September for the Sam and Jack Award. But it isn’t there, and I wanted to ask: why? I thought you haven’t accepted them. But you say you accepted all? That is very confusing for me. Why wasn’t my nominations counted?

unfortunately, I don’t have an answer for you because I’m not in any way involved in the organization or execution of the Sam and Jack Awards. It says on their website that you should have received an email informing you of the reason why your nominations were rejected. But from your question I take it you didn’t receive such an email. (Have you checked your spam folder?)
I’m sorry your nominations didn’t make it on the list, but it’s the thought that counts. Thank you for remembering me and goign through the effort of trying. ♥♥♥

Again thank you for your answer. No, I haven’t received any mail . I filled out the form on their website and then sent it, and it told me it successfully sent. But I received no email.
It makes me feel cheated because I haven’t had any chance to correct my nominations if I have made a mistake. I looked on the website because I wanted to ask them about it, but I see no way to contact them. No email or form, or maybe comment form like on your blog. I know you have said you have nothing to do with them, but my question is, do you know a way for contacting them?

oh, you’re right, there doesn’t seem to be a contact form on the website anymore. But they list links to their social media accounts. You can send a message on Twitter or Tumblr, or even Facebook. All three platforms offer private message options.

I don’t have the twitter or tumblr accounts and I want to keep my Facebook account private for only my famille and friends. But thank you for your answer and the information. It’s a lesson and next time I will nominate two or three times.

As for my new story, I hope to be able to publish it soon. I’m writing the last chapter and preparing everything for its publication, but self-publishing a book for money comes with a lot of obstacles. But it’s slowly getting there.
I have a long list of people who signed up for the reading circle. I think it is about 90 open requests now which I all need to investigate and either approve or deny. As you can imagine, that takes time, so I’m waiting with that until I have the book finished and published. Then I’ll work through the list and send everybody their private courtesy copy.
So please be patient for a while longer.
EDIT: I just cross-referenced the email you commented with, and your request is in my inbox. So I should process it along with the others soon. :)
