Formal Biography

Formal Portrait

I was born on Feb 11, 1982 in Preetz, which is a little town near the East Sea in the north of Germany. I have been fascinated by books since I was very young. During basic school and later high school, literature and everything connected to it became my favorite subject.

Although I have always created stories and fairy tales in my mind, I only wrote my first story when I was 14. It was a novel about a girl in the middle ages who gets caught up in a witch hunt. Half-finished I gave it to a literature teacher who told me, that was skilled, but should work on my ability to catch the reader and build up tension. A comment meant to encourage me, yet, at that time it did the contrary and I stopped writing completely.

Only two years later, at the age of 16 I decided to try it again. So I started writing mainly fanfiction for several TV series. A friend encouraged me to go on and keep on writing, pushing me to write more stories for her to read. For a long time I wrote nothing but fanfiction until I dared to start another novel - a fantasy piece about a young Alien girl who is reborn in a human body. Again, the story remained unfinished. Several other attempts followed, including a story about a young Indian woman who is forced to marry an older man she despises, and runs away from her parents. She manages to flee her homecountra India and reaches Europe to start a new life without knowledge of the language or money, just hope and the longing for freedom in her heart.

Again for about a year I wrote merely fanfiction or shorter stories, then, at the age of 19 I started my fourth novel "Greek Summer" - a romance novel and the first one that I completed. Again it was a friend who encouraged me to go on and finally helped me to finish the story. Immediately after having finished "Greek Summer" I started working on my next project "The Warrior of Hatchepsut", a fantasy novel and the first one I actually started to send out to publishing houses.

By now I have not published anything in form of a book yet, but I have made a reputation by writing fanfiction (my last Alias-themed novel "Enemies - A Love Story" had 46 subscribers). Also in July 2004 I have been made an offer by a publishing house who wanted to publish "Greek Summer", together with romances written by other authors. I had to refuse that offer, since they gave me a strict schedule to revise the book and rewrite passages, which consisted of three weeks time and unfortunately collided with my exams at university.

At the moment I am working on a children's books called "Seashell". Next to that I've started revising some of my earlier stories, which are often flawed in grammar and spelling.
