Angel of mine written by Ainoyume The loud music filled the room. It was as untidy as always, but the young woman got used to it. “ANGELA!” No answer. The boy who entered the room, turned the music out. “Hey!” Angela opened her eyes. Jacob smiled. “I’ve got a program of a friend! We’ll get the system back!” But instead of being happy, Angela put her hands on hips. “The next time you’ll say anything instead shocking me in that way!” Jacob started his computer. “Firstly: this is MY room! And secondly: I said something! I shouted ANGELA, but you didn’t show any reaction!” He looked at his friend. Angela shook her head. “I didn’t hear anything!” – “Ah! That’s the point! See what I mean, when I say that the music was too loud!” He grinned and Angela threw a pillow towards him. “Idiot!” Jacob caught the projectile and laughed. “As charming as ever, Angel! Come on! Let’s see, what we have here!” He looked on his screen. Angela got up from the sofa and took some magazines from a chair. “You should really clean your room!” – “Yeah, Mom! But at first I’ll do this!” He put a CD into his drive. “This is a program that detects every virus you can think about! It’s the newest you can get!” He ran the program. “Well, I guess this is going to take a little bit.” He turned and looked at her. “What’s up with you? You’re sad the last time! Is it... because of... Danny?” Jacob was really worried. Angela smiled softly. “No. I didn’t even know your friend Danny. No it’s just because... I wasn’t able to stop Praetorians!” She slammed her fist onto the table. “That just isn’t fair!” Jacob shook his head in disbelieving. “But... Angel, that’s not that bad! I mean... at least we send a copy of that tape to New York Times.” – “Yeah, but... the really important things are hid in our society! That’s why organizations like praetorians have a chance! Do you understand what I mean?” Jacob was confused. “But... I thought you had some kind of affection for the praetorians!” Angela got angry. “Bullshit, Jacob! Only because that thing? What you’re thinking about! Trelawney is just a damned son of a bitch!” Neither her nor Jacob believed, what she said. Angela noticed that and got up. “Let’s just change subject, okay?” She looked out of the window, when the computer beeped. Virus detected! Jacob laughed. “Yeah! We’ve got it!” He cave orders to his computer and some minutes later the programs started. “Angel! Come here! I’m able to go into the internet again! We...” He stopped. When Angela realized that silence, she turned around. “What?” – “Angel! I got an e-mail! You should look at it!” Jacob turned and Angela lowered to the screen. “Who is Steven White?” – “I don’t know!” Jacob said and opened the mail. “Read it!” Angela read the text. Help me, Sorcerer! I’m in great danger. Come to Hudson Street 25, New York, 4th floor Room No. 3. I’ll explain all to you, but please don’t give this address to anybody! No matter who asks for it! Angela looked unbelieving at the mail. “For heaven’s sake, what’s that? Do you know that... Steven?” – “No... at least I didn’t know him until I read this e-mail!” He played with a pen. “what do you think? Should we go there?” – “I’m not sure, but it really seems as if that guy is in big trouble! It’s worth to give a look, wouldn’t you agree?” She looked seriously at the boy, who nodded. “Agreed! Come on! We’re going to New York!” “What does that mean? No train! On the plan...” – “The plan isn’t actual at the moment! We changed it! The next train is coming tomorrow at 6.00 am! I suggest you to go back home and come back tomorrow!” the station officer said and Jacob looked at him furious. But Angela pulled on his arm. “Come on. Let’s do as the man says!” – “But Angela!!!” – “Jacob! We get nothing if we stand here, discussing with that guy! I’ve another idea!” she whispered annoyed. “And now come on!” They went out of the station and Angela went straight right. “Angel! What’s your plan?” – “We’re going to tramp!” – “WHAT?!?” He laughed in disbelieving. “YOU?!? You are the most paranoid of both of us and you suggest to tramp???” – “Jacob! I’m not paranoid! I wonder how you’d be if you were hunted by gangster that did everything to kill you! A life what I actually have to thank you for!” – “Oh no!” He sighed. “Please! Don’t give me that again! I said sorry for a hundred times! Do you want me to go on my knees?” She smiled. “Why not? But not here! I don’t want the people to pay more attention at us as they still do no.” She laughed. “All because your awful hair color!” – “You always insult my color! What’s with yours? Not in fashion, is it?” – “Trelawney like it!” Looking at Jacob as if he was a ghost she shook her head. “I just mean... it’s advantage for me if he...” – “You like him!” – “No!” Angela stopped. “Okay, it was my fault this time, but please... don’t say anything according to Trelawney again!” – “ME?!? Who’s the one that goes around with hearts in the eyes!” – “That’s isn’t quite funny!” They were silent for a little moment. “Okay, I’m sorry!” he said, laying his hand around her waist. “Forgive me, okay?” She smiled. “Already done! Let’s look for a nice guy taking us with him to New York now!” – “As you says, Mom!” He grinned and Angela just shook her head. “Sir!” Trelawney who went up and down looked at the man, sitting on the sofa, the feet on the table. “Yeah?” He didn’t look up. “Would you please stop smoking?” Trelawney was angry. Everybody was better than this guy. What had Mr. White thought when he engaged him? He was a poor idiot, nothing in his brain but women and drugs, the first thing more than the second one. “Mr. Trelawney! May I remind you, that I’m important to you?” – “Oh no! Don’t give me this again! We need you, yeah, yeah! I’ve heard this at least ten times in the last hour!” He swore inside, because he knew, that this guy, Steven was his name, was right. They needed him. “What, if Sorcerer comes? Am I allowed to kill him?” Trelawney looked at him. “Surely not! You’ll just open the door and then mind your own business, understood! The rest is up to me! I’ll decide whether to kill him or not! And I warn you... if you cross my plans...” – “Hey, keep cool!” Steven blew a cloud of dusty ash from his cigarette into his face. Trelawney grabbed his shirt at his neck and pulled him toward himself. “And stop smoking immediately!” He was really furious. He was annoyed by guys like this, who actually were unimportant little assholes and thought about themselves that they were responsible for the whole world. “Mister... would you please let off my shirt?” His calmness made Trelawney more angry. “Listen you...” – “Sir, may I remind you, that I’m able to go every minute! I’m not the one who is in need of what I do here!” – “I’m not either! If you want to go... feel free to. But I warn you. Be sure, you’ll be in big trouble!” He let off the shirt and went to the window. “Bad day, huh?” Steven couldn’t stop annoying him. “Shut up!” – “What’s up with you? Stressed? I know some cute little girls who...” – “I said shut up!” Trelawney turned and sighed. “And turn that damned cigarette out!” How could Mr. White have brought such an idiot to him. He should have known better. No wonder, that the praetorians don’t have the power of the whole internet yet, if there are poor idiots like him in our group! He thought bitterly. “Mister... what about my payment?” – “You’ll get your money, if you do this one here well! Understood?” – “How can I know, that you’re not lying at me?” Steven put his cigarette out and looked directly into the face of the man. “Am I looking as if I lied?” – “Yeah!” Steven got up. “I know your reputation, Trelawney, and... to be honest... I don’t trust you at all. I want my money now!” – “I don’t trust you at all, either!” Trelawney said calmly. “No... you didn’t understand!” Steven pulled a gun out of his jacket. “I said now!” – “Hey, hey, hey! You don’t seem to know to who you’re talking!” Trelawney said cool, but stepped back. “The money!” Steven said. “And I swear, I’m gonna shoot!” Trelawney nodded. “Okay!” He pulled some bills out of his black jacket. “Here! $10.000! That’s it!” – “Okay... and now the rest! I know you’ve more!” Steven lowered to him. “The rest of the money, Trelawney! And don’t try to fool me!” – “You’re kidding!” BANG. Then silence. “You see, I’m not kidding!” Steven looked down to the man who held his arm. “And now your last chance! The money!” “Jacob!” – “I’m sorry! But... I misunderstood the map! We’ve to go there!” He showed another street. “I heard that about five times in the last ten minutes. Maybe I should do this!” She grabbed the map. “I want to reach our aim tonight, not at Christmas!” she looked at the map. “Where are we?” – “There, Mrs. Marple!” – “Very funny!” She nodded. “Well... then we go the next right and then 100 meters to the next crossroad.” – “But the crossroad isn’t where we should go! Look...” After a long dispute, they went Angela’s way and an half hour later they reached where they had wanted to go. “Well... 4th floor, Room 3. Come on! Let’s see how to get into the house!” – “I suggest we just ring at our Steven!” Jacob looked at the doorbells, when suddenly the front door opened and a man ran out of the house. He crashed into Angela and she swore. “Hey, you idiot! Forgot your glasses?” – “Keep cool, sweetie! I bet, you’ve already met guy as attractive as me, so calm down!” – “ASSHOLE!” Angela thought about throwing her shoe into the back of the man, but then she turned. Jacob held the door. “Come in... sweetie!” – “Shut up, Junior!” She growled and Jacob laughed. They went up the stairs and then along the floor. “Wow! If I’ve enough money to buy such an apartment here, I’ll be happy!” Jacob said and Angela grinned. “Not happy with the room in your grandma’s house?” She laughed, but Jacob suddenly held her back. “Shht! Look! Room No. 3! The door’s open!” Silently he went to the door and opened it a bit. “We don’t know if there’s still somebody inside!” Angela threw in and Jacob nodded. “That’s why I’m that careful!” He entered the apartment. “Hallo?” – “Jacob!” Angela couldn’t believe her ears when Jacob cried a loud HALLO. No answer. “Well... see? Nobody’s in here?” – “I wouldn’t answer you if I hid here, either!” Angela noticed dryly and Jacob pulled a face. “Yes, Mom! ...I wonder where this guy, Steven, is!” Angela looked into the living room and caught her breath. “Jacob! There’s blood!” – “What? Oh, shit!” – “Do you think, anything happened to him?” Angela was really worried. “I don’t know! I didn’t even know him!” He looked round and took a book. “He read a lot!” – “That’s the most unimportant thing at the moment! We should think about...” – “OKAY, game’s out! Put your hands over your head, you damned son of a bitch...” Angela turned and looked into Trelawney’s face. “YOU?!?” Jacob started to laugh. “Our dear Steven! I thought his name was Sean! Angela, didn’t you say...” – “Shut up, Jacob! You’re hurt!” Angela looked at the arm of the man. “Nothing serious! What are you and this... boy doing here?” Jacob stepped forward. “We got an...” Angela laughed. “We got an e-mail from sorcerer... well... actually... I got this e-mail. We wanted to meet here!” – “So you know Sorcerer?” Trelawney lowered to her and Angela lifted her hands. “Not really... I mean... we wanted to meet here for the first time! Where’s he? And where’s Steven? Or are you Steven?” – “It doesn’t matter! Steven isn’t here, and Sorcerer isn’t either! So I suggest you two disappear, before I’m forced to kill you!” He moaned and held his arm. “We both know, you wouldn’t do this!” Angela said angrily. “And now I want an answer.” – “I want an answer! Who is this boy? I saw him several time being with you!” Trelawney sat down. “He’s...” Angela started, but Jacob interrupted her. “I’m her younger brother!” – “She doesn’t have a younger brother!” – “Oh well! Liz Marx does! Forgot about this, Trelawney? I’m Jacob! Hi!” Angela pulled his arm. “Excuse us for a little moment!” She pulled Jacob into the kitchen and shut the door. “Tell me, are you completely crazy?” – “What?!?” – “He’ll do researches, who you are! How could you tell him your name?” – “It was just my first name! Besides it’s my problem, if I get trouble!” – “Oh no, my dear brother! It’s my problem, too, because I had to promise to your grandma that nothing happens to you, remember?” Angela took a deep breath. “I don’t trust him! You should keep silent!” – “But thought he’s your lover!” – “And if you mention that or the name Liz Marx again, you’ll be in need of protect from me, understood?” – “Okay!” She left the kitchen again and smiled. “So... where’s Steven?” – “Angela! Who’s that?” Trelawney looked at Jacob. “A friend of me! That’s enough. What happened here?” She sat down on the sofa and was about to take care of his hurting, when Jacob put his hands on his hips. “Angela! Don’t tell me you want to help him! He’s after you! He’s your enemy!” – “And he’s hurt! Would you fetch me the medical kit?” – “Angela!” Jacob shook his head. “I help you the whole time to hide, and then you... well... I’ll take a priest so you can marry him! How romantic!” – “JACOB!” Trelawney grinned amused, when Angela got up. “I don’t know, what you think about it, but I won’t let him here, hurt!” – “Well... wonderful, Mrs. nurse! Or shall I say Doctor Angela Bennett?” – “You’re unfair! I’ve also always helped you, if you were hurt!” – “Yeah! But I’m not your enemy! I don’t want to kill you and I don’t want to be your lover! Damned!” Suddenly Angela started to laugh. “Don’t tell me you’re jealous!” – “Sure I’m not!” – “Yeah, you are!” – “No! I just said...” – “Jacob! I saw you blush!” – “Does it matter? The point is, that he is a praetorian, and the praetorians want to kill you! you can’t know, that he won’t kill you if he’s okay again!” Jacob looked deep into her eyes. “Angel! I worry about you. I just don’t want you to be dead!” – “Jacob! I... I don’t know, if he’ll kill me! But I see he’s in need of help, isn’t he?” Jacob sighed. “Okay, but I’ll be here, and I’ll not leave of your side as long as he’s here!” – “So... would you at least fetch a medical kit?” She begged with dog eyes. Jacob moaned. “Ooo... why do I always give in! Woman! Just one look...” He still complained the next five minutes about Trelawney and Angela, while he searched for a medical kit. Angela softly pulled out Trelawney’s jacket. “Why do guys like you always have to bring themselves in trouble like that?” She shook her head. “But... I know, you’re praetorian. Risk of job, right? I just hope, the bullet will not hit your heart someday.” – “Angel...” He stroke her cheek. “It could be good for you if I died.” – “Oh no! Surely not. The other guys of your organization would shoot if they saw me. Uh... that’s looking awful! Who did that?” – “That damned Steven.” He explained. “Steven?!?” She was confused, but then she understood. “Steven worked for you, right? You paid him for sending that message!” – “Actually I paid him for opening the door!” He smiled. “But he... decided to take all my money and disappear.” Angela looked at him, then she suddenly started to giggle. “Oh my goodness. I just don’t believe it! That serves you right! Just a lesson in ‘I shouldn’t be that arrogant!’.” He moaned, when Angela cleaned his wound. “You’re good. You’re not hurt, and you don’t have to argue with your boss!” – “I have no boss!” she smiled. “Incidentally I can thank you for the fact. Liz Marx does not have a boss.” She growled and he laughed. “Come on, Angel! You’ve to admit, that you like your life!” – “Oh, I don’t like my life at all. I just accepted it!” She swore. “If you always move your arm, I’ll hurt you. Keep silent! JACOB!” – “I can’t find any medical kit!” – “You’ll find anything else! Just bring me something! I need iodine.” She ordered and heard a moan of her friend. “Aye Ma’am! Shall I fetch a doctor?” – “Just do it, Jacob!” – “Fetch a doctor?” – “You know, what I mean!” She sighed. “Sometimes he annoys me.” She smiled. Trelawney smiled back. “Your boyfriend?” Angela looked at him. “Are you kidding? I haven’t had a boyfriend since high-school! At least not a serious one. And Jacob is surely not my boyfriend! Not even in future. He’s a boy. He knows a bit about computer, so I need him.” Jacob entered the room. “Telling goodnight stories?” – “Sure!” Angela took the iodine. “Thanks. Do you have a towel and a bandage?” – “Oh boy! Can you make a list, then I’ll go to a shop!” he complained. “Why do you help him at all?” – “Jacob! We had that subject for several times!” – “Okay!” He went out of the room again. Angela took a handkerchief and put some iodine to it. Then she touched his wound with it and he cried out. “Oh hell! Do you wanna kill me?” – “I’d like to, but I don’t! Be happy that it’s just a grazing shot!” She noticed and sighed. “Jacob! Whatcha doing?” Jacob ran into the room. “Here, Mrs. nurse. Towels and some bandages.” – “Thanks!” She dressed his wounds, then she put everything on the table. “Well, that’s it!” Jacob nodded. “Good! Let’s get out of here, Angel!” She got up. “Yeah. Agreed! It’s better for us. Who knows who’ll appear here!” – “HEY! You two! Maybe I need your help!” He said and got up. “I have to find Steven!” – “Why? Be happy that you’re still living! Why do you want to risk being killed again?” Angela shook her head. He looked deeply into her eyes. “He took more than only my money. He took my passport, just everything! And he knows about praetorians.” – “You wanna kill him!” – “Right!” Trelawney took his gun. “You don’t really believe, that we help you to get him, for being guilty for a murder, too!” Angela said angrily. “Jacob, let’s go!” – “STOP! You’ll stay and help me, understood!” Angela turned and faced him. “Sean... your methods annoy me and I’m not afraid of you! I confess... I was afraid of you at first... but that’s over.” – “Angel!” he warned, but Angela went to the door. “You wouldn’t kill me!” – “Right... but your little friend Jacob! And you know, I’m not joking on that one!” She stopped and Jacob turned as well. “Much better!” he said. “And now let’s talk about a plan! And if you don’t play my game, I’m gonna kill him! So don’t try anything funny!” He grabbed her hand. “Hey! Jacob! Come here and sit down!” Angela groaned. “Is that for I helped you? You’re a liar!” He let her go and sat next to her. “Look. I know, where Steven might go! So we can await him there. But he knows me. So you’ll go there!” – “Oh no, I won’t!” Angela folded her arms, but she knew, that he wouldn’t let her go until she agreed. “Okay! But only if you promise not to kill him!” – “I can’t!” He said and got an angry glance of her. “Angel! I just can’t! He’d go to the police immediately!” – “No he won’t! He’s a criminal! He’d never go to the police!” she said. Trelawney sighed. “Okay, I’ll not kill him!” She smiled. “Okay! We’re gonna help you!” – “ANGELA!” Jacob got up. “He’s a liar, as you said before! He doesn’t stop hunting for somebody, only because a woman took a promise of him! And I bet, if he has this guy, he’ll kill me!” Trelawney got up. “No, I won’t!” He hissed. “And now sit down again!” Jacob sat down and shook his head. “You’re that naiv, Angela! I can’t believe it, after you’ve seen so much!” Angela smiled. “Let’s say... it’s not trust, Jacob! It’s just a spark of hope! I trust in the gentleman in him... I know he’s one!” She looked directly at Trelawney. “Even if he’s a liar.” Jacob laughed out loud. “Oh sure, Cinderella! Angel! We’re not in a fairy tale!” – “But we’re not in a mystery thriller as well!” She countered. “Oh yes, that’s exactly, where we are, Angela! We become a puppet of praetorians!” Angela got up and went to the window. “Jacob! I don’t expect you to help him. Actually I understand if you say no, but... I’m going to help him! And even if it’s just because you’re not killed!” Jacob jumped up. “Angela!” She turned and Jacob stopped immediately. “Angel...” Tears flew over her face. He went to her and hugged her. “Hey! I didn’t mean it!” – “Jacob... you just don’t understand!” She looked into the boy’s face. “My life was okay until I got this damned e- mail. I’m really tired of running away! I just want my life back.” – “But now you want to bring a boy into the same situation as you are?” – “No! I want to help him! He got himself into this situation!” – “But he... is a liar!” Jacob said and looked directly at Trelawney in his “See-what-you- have-done” face. “I know, that he’s a liar!” Jacob shook his head. “But you love him?” Angela slapped his face. “I hate you, Jacob Resh! And I swear, if you say something like that again, I’m going to kill you by myself! You’re a liar as well!” She left the room. “But... ANGEL!” He slammed his fist to the window board. “Damned bullshit! Shit, shit, shit!” Trelawney sighed. “Fine... you two are really killing me!” He leaned back and shut his eyes. “And now?” He asked angrily. Jacob turned. “How shall I know?” – “Maybe you go to her and apologize?” – “Me?!?” Jacob cried out. “Why me? I think, it’s more you, who should apologize?” – “For what?” Trelawney jumped up and grabbed Jacob’s shirt. “You destroyed her life! Do you know, what you’ve done? Angela doesn’t deserve to be hunted! And I swear, if you don’t give her life back to her...” – “You want to force me?” Trelawney laughed. “That’s really funny!” – “Stop that!” Both of them turned, when they heard Angela’s voice from the door. “It doesn’t give anything to anybody if you two kill each other here! On the contrary. I’d be a witness and the police would get me!” She held her head. Jacob ran to her. “I’m sorry for what I said!” – “It’s okay, Jacob! It’s okay! Let’s just go now!” She turned without looking at Trelawney. She wasn’t able to, because Jacob was right. She loved him. But she didn’t want that he learned that. In no case! “You go in and bring him out of there!” Trelawney showed to the bar. “How should I get him out of there?” – “You’re a woman, you’ll find a way.” – “If I didn’t knew that you just mean flirting with him, I’d feel flattered.” Angela pulled a face and opened her blouse a bit. “Angie... I’m not sure if that isn’t too much!” Jacob doubted, but Trelawney opened another button and touched her cheek. “Wonderful.” She shut the button she’d opened. “I’m not one of your praetorian girls, okay? So let me do it my way!” She went away and Jacob grinned. “She has her own head!” “Hi!” Angela sat down next to Steven. He must be the one, Trelawney meant. He looked like the picture. The man looked at her. “Hi!” He smiled. “Want a drink? Hey... a drink for this young lady!” He looked at Angela’s collar. “What does such a sweet girl alone here? Huh? Moment... I know you! I crashed into you, when I came of that house today!” Angela caught her breath for a second. Shit, she had forgotten about that! “Yes! I remember!” she smiled innocent. “What a fortune to meet you here!” – “You called me an asshole!” – “Oh really?” She was still smiling and he started to grin. “I knew you liked me!” – “Oh, I’ve always liked men, that crashed into me!” she took the drink, the barkeeper gave to her. Steven grinned. “And I’ve always liked women as cute as you!” Angela drank a mouthful and smiled again. “Hey... baby... wanna go with me out of here? I know a nice place where we’re alone. Just you... and me...” His hand ran her leg up. Angela smiled. “Okay!” She got up. “But we’ll go out of the back door!” he said. Angela caught her breath. “Why? My car’s in front of the front door!” – “You don’t need you car, babe!” He pulled her back. Angela stopped. “moment! I have to...” she thought. “...have to...” – “Yeah?” – “I’ve to go to the toilette at first!” She smiled charming. “Wait for me, okay?” She opened the door of the women’s toilette and shut it behind her. Then she locked it. “Oh boy!” She leaned against the door and closed her eyes for a moment. Then she ran to the window and opened it. She had to climb up the wall and when she finally reached the window, she hang herself out of it. “HEY!” she said lowly, afraid of speaking loudly, because Steven might hear her. “Trelawney! Jacob! Anybody here?” Jacob looked round the corner and Angela showed him to come to the back door. He didn’t understand and ran to her. “Listen, Jacob! This guy takes me to the back door! You’d better be there!” – “Okay!” He ran back and Angela climbed inside again. She shut the window and cleaned herself. Looking herself in the mirror she smiled and renewed her eyeliner. “Okay...” she said to herself, then she opened the door again. Steven was already waiting for her. “Hi!” She smiled and he went along the floor. “Here!” He opened a door. “come in!” – “Steven... that’s not the back door!” – “Hey! Where do you know my name from, huh?” He asked confused. “What are you playing for a game?” He grabbed her wrist. Angela laughed. “Did I say your name? I... I just thought... I heard it from... somebody inside there...” – “Liar! They don’t know me!” – “Outsh! You’re hurting me! Leave me!” She tried to free herself from his grasp. “Oh now, my sweetie! You’ll tell me exactly, what you’re playing!” – “I’m not playing anything!” She cried in panic and he nodded. “Fine! Then come in now!” – “No, I... I changed my mind!” She said and was still trying to free herself. Jacob, where are you? She was desperate. “You changed your mind? Then you’ll see how I change my mind!” He tried to pull her inside and when she started to cry for help, he held his hand over her mouth. “Come in... if you don’t defend yourself, I’ll be very soft!” – “No!” Angela sobbed. “Leave me! HELP!” Nobody was there. She bit into Steven’s hand and he cried out. “Damned bitch! My patience is at the end!” He beat her into her face that she fell to the ground. She cried out and Steven grabbed her ankle. “Damned bagagge!” – “Stop that!” Steven looked up. “Oh shit!” He said and lifted his hands. “Yeah!” Trelawney nodded and went to Angela. “I warn you, if you move...” He helped her up. “are you okay?” she nodded. “I think so!” – “Go to Jacob!” He said softly and gave her free. Angela went to her friend. “So... let’s talk a bit about the money you stole!” Trelawney pushed him into his room and shut the door. Jacob looked at it, then he looked at Angela. “See? He’s going to kill him.” Angela held her cheek and her lip that was bleeding. “No, I’m sure he won’t kill him. Although he deserves it!” she hissed painful when she touched her wound. “Damned roughneck.” Suddenly a gunshot made them both look at each other. Angela pushed the door open. Steven was lying on the ground, holding his arm. “And don’t get into the way of the praetorians again, understood? And now...” He pulled Steven up and brought him to Angela. “I listen?” He demanded and Steven moaned. “Ah...” – “What did you want to say?” – “I’m... I’m sorry, Madam!” He groaned and Trelawney nodded. “Fine. Good boy!” Then he pushed him back on the ground. “Let’s go.” He demanded. Angela looked at him. “We can’t just let him here! He’s hurt!” Trelawney grabbed her wrist. “Honey... you still have to learn a lot. In our business you don’t mind other people’s wound!” Then he pulled her out. Silence. The three went side by side on the dark way. “There’s my car! I’ll take you two home!” Trelawney offered, but Angela turned it down. “No way. You just want to see, where I am!” She smiled. He lifted his hands. “Touché!” Jacob sighed. “Wonderful... full moon... stars at sky... what do you demand more for...” Angela’s glance made him silent. “Okay so...” She finally said, when they reached the car. “Goodbye! I hope... we’ll meet again!” he said and Angela laughed. “Oh, I hope we’ll not! Who knows if you won’t kill me the next time!” He looked deeply into her eyes. “Yeah... who knows...” His hand touched her cheek and her lip, where she was hurt. “Is this okay?” she nodded. “It’s nothing serious!” – “Should go to a doctor!” He lowered his face to hers. Angela touched his lips. “Hey, remember. Don’t mind other people’s wounds!” she whispered, when his mouth covered hers. Jacob, who had turned to say something just looked at the couple, then he nodded. “Okay Angel... I’ll go along the street to the bus station! You’ll find me there!” Angela sighed something what seemed to be a ‘yes’ and flung her arms around Sean Trelawney’s neck. He laid her hands at the sides of her waist and pulled her against him to deepen the kiss. For a little eternity they felt nothing but each other, than Angela freed herself softly. “You should go now. Who knows which of that guys there is praetorian and will talk to your boss what he have just seen.” She smiled, but her heart seemed to break. He looked at her, unable to get into his car. When she turned and was about to go away he suddenly grabbed her wrist. “Hey!” – “Yeah?” He took a necklace out of his jacket and laid it into her hand. “Please take this as a present from me. What I mean with it is... just trust me, no matter what happens, okay?” – “What does that mean?” Angela asked confused. He kissed her once again on her cheek, then he went round his car and got in. “Sean... what does that mean? Hey!!!” He closed his door. Angela knocked at the window. “Trelawney! Open immediately or I swear, you’ll regret it!” He opened the window. “If you don’t want my boss hear you, you’d better be silent! I’ve a microphone in here!” he whispered grinning and laughed, when he saw her shocked face. “Just a joke. See you!” Then he drove away. Angela looked after him, then she looked at the necklace. “What does he think? Does he want to buy me with that?” She took the jewelry into her pocket and started to run after Jacob then. “A necklace?” Jacob took it. “I’ll scan it. I’m sure he has something technical built in!” – “Jacob!” She grabbed her necklace back. “I like it!” The boy pulled a face. “As I said. Marry him! I’ll be your witness to your marriage.” He laughed. “And I’m sure Mr. White or Mr. Oliver would like to be the other one. Or maybe Anna Kelly. The praetorian family. How beautiful!” Angela punched him into his side, when she heard him joking. “No matter what you think... I believe that he’s worth trust.” Jacob looked at her serious. “I wish for you that you’ll not pay your love with your death someday, because he doesn’t love you at all.” Angela looked at him and then she looked to the ground. “Maybe... but he’s worth the risk!” and while they were talking, the bus drove them slowly in home direction.
